#BRAZIL2014: GERMANY DEFEAT ARGENTINA TO WIN 4TH WORLD CUP TITLE



Germany defeated Argentina 1-0 at extra-time, to become the first European nation to win a World Cup title on a South American soil. Mario Goetze 113rd goal sealed the 4th World Cup title for the European nation. Gonzalo Higuain got the first clear chance in the first half, but couldn’t convert it through Toni Kroos back pass. Germany had the ball possession, more in both half, but Argentina got a Higuain goal canceled out through an offside. As the match went into extra-time, Goezte was brought on to replace All-time World Cup scorer Miroslav Klose, after which Goezte broke the deadlock in the 113rd minute from a Schurlle assist. Germany, last World Cup trophy was won 24 years ago, against Argentina.
