TOP 10 PREMIER LEAGUE SHIRT SELLERS: ARSENAL AND MANCHESTER UNITED STARS LEAD

1) Mesut Ozil – Arsenal
In his short time in England, the Gunners’ £42m record signing has dwarfed every other player in England when it comes to shirts sold. Ozil has started the season brilliantly, providing three league assists already and scoring a beautiful Champions League goal against Napoli.
2) Robin Van Persie – Manchester United
The consecutive Premier League Golden Boot winner recently broke the all-time goal scoring record for the Dutch national team, and will be crucial to David Moyes’ chances of winning a maiden domestic title.
3) Wayne Rooney – Manchester united
Despite the rumours surrounding Rooney’s Old Trafford future, only two Premier league players have sold more shirts than the England hitman, who has scored three goals from direct freekicks so far this season.
4) Sergio Aguero – Manchester City
The Argentine forward who brilliantly won City the Premier League title in 2012 with a last minute winner, is back to his best this season – helping put the sword to Manchester United in a 4-1 thrashing at the Etihad.
5) Fernando Torres – Chelsea
Chelsea’s Spanish striker has yet to score this season in the league, and has endured a fairly unsuccessful time at Stamford Bridge since his £50m move from Liverpool back in 2010. However, he still sells more shirts than the likes of Frank Lampard, John Terry and Juan Mata!
6) Shinji Kagawa – Manchester United
United’s Japanese playmaker has an enormous fan base in the Far East, many of which are dismayed that new boss David Moyes seemingly doesn’t rate the talented creator. Could move back to Borussia Dortmund in January.
7) Eden Hazard – Chelsea
Chelsea’s flying Belgian winger is a brilliant dribbler, and causes any defence countless problems when he’s running at them. Also capable of cutting in and delivering thunderbolt shots with his right boot.
8) Luis Suarez – Liverpool
The brilliant Uruguayan would probably be higher on this list if it wasn’t for the fact that no Liverpool fan was certain he’d stay during the summer. The striker did remain at Anfield however, and has bagged three goals in two games since returning from suspension.
9) Jack Wilshere – Arsenal
Wilshere can’t stay out of the media at the moment; whether he’s playing badly, being caught smoking, making nationalistic remarks in the press, or weeing up trees during England training sessions! Pure box office!
10) Santi Cazorla – Arsenal
The diminutive Spaniard is yet to make a Premier League appearance this season because of injury, but he was so impressive during his debut term he makes this year’s top 10 shirt sellers list. Possesses a beautiful touch, and is about as two-footed as any footballer in Europe.
