FANS EXPRESS SURPRISE AS LIZ ANJORIN CONVERTS TO ISLAM

For Liz Anjorin’s fans, the news making the rounds that their screen idol has converted from Christianity to Islam is like a fairytale.

Some of them expressed their  surprises on her facebook page. One Sunny Anisha writes,  “Is it true that you have changed your name from Liz to  Aisha?” Another fan, Azeez Temitope while  commending the actress asked rhetorically whether she has converted to Islam. “Is it true that you have  converted to Islam. I’m so happy for you,” he writes.

A few weeks back, the Yoruba actress travelled to the Holy land, Mecca  to perform this year’s  pilgrimage alongside  her  colleague, Kemi Korede. The pair who are now happy ‘Alhajas’, spent the Eid-Mubarak holiday in Saudi Arabia.

For whatever reason, Liz has indeed joined the league of celebrities who have gone on the Holy Pilgrimage. She’s said to have changed her name to Aisha, an indication that she has truly  converted to Islam. Henceforth, she wants to be known and addressed as Aisha Anjorin.
