MOURINHO CRITICIZES HAZARD’S PERFORMANCE AGAINST ATLETICO MADRID

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, has lashed out at Eden Hazard, claiming that he does not sacrifice himself for the team, after he struggled defensively against Atletico Madrid.
The Belgian winger failed to track Juanfran’s run in the build-up to Adrian Lopez’s equalizer on Wednesday and went ahead to criticize Mourinho’s tactics after the match.
“Against Atletico in Madrid, Willian played on the left side and Ashley Cole was protected all game. Against Liverpool, Schurrle played on the left side and a dangerous player like Glen Johnson was completely under control,” Mourinho told reporters.
“Eden is the kind of player that is not so mentally ready to look back to his left-back and live his life for him.
“If you see the first goal of Atletico you completely understand where the mistake was and why we conceded that goal. The perfect team at the top level can’t make these mistakes.
“He’s not the kind of player ready to sacrifice himself 100 per cent for the team. No, I’m not happy [with his defensive performance]. I speak to him all season and I’ve been trying to improve him all season.”
Mourinho also responded directly to quotes from Hazard, where the 23-year-old said he does not set up the team to play football. The Blues manager insisted that his player’s statements were twisted by the media.
He added: “First of all I listened to the interview. The words are completely different than some media was bringing.
“The context is completely transformed. The media was reporting that he was being critical but there’s nothing critical in what he says.”

BAYERN MUNICH WILL DECIDE IF I’M THE BEST COACH FOR THEM OR NOT – GUARDIOLA

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has insisted he will not waver from his football philosophy despite the criticism which has come his way this week.
The former Barcelona boss’ methods have been questioned after his team turned in a sterile performance over two legs against Real Madrid, eventually going out 5-0 on aggregate to the Spaniards in the Champions League semi-finals.
But Guardiola, who has led the Bavarians to the Bundesliga title in his first season in charge, remains steadfast in his beliefs and is adamant the Bayern players will need to adapt to him, rather than the other way round.
“I have my own philosophy and we will use my philosophy against Hamburg, against Stuttgart, in the DFB-Pokal final and next year,” Guardiola stated at a press conference.
“I didn’t come here to change Germany’s football culture, but I do have my own ideas about the game. I can’t teach the players another coach’s ideas, so the players will have to adapt to my ideas. I cannot be Bayern coach if I have to say things I don’t agree with. That would be bad for the club and for the players, who are intelligent. They wouldn’t trust me if I wasn’t true to myself.
“The loss against Real Madrid has further strengthened my belief in my own philosophy. We lost in the Champions League semi-finals against a great team. These things happen every now and then. It’s a shame.
“It’s up to the club to decide whether I’m the right coach for this club. That’s not up to me.”
The 43-year-old stressed he was happy with his squad and dismissed speculation the likes of Thomas Muller, Mario Gotze and Javi Martinez, all of whom have struggled to hold down a first-team place this season, will leave this summer.
He added: “I will discuss our transfer plans with the club, but I am happy with our current squad. We put in some great performances with these players and in this formation. We still have the DFB-Pokal final to go and will sit down with the bosses after that. We would also have analysed the squad if we had made the Champions League final. This defeat does not change anything.
“I understand the players’ desire to play. I understand Muller, Martinez and Gotze. They all want to play. But I have to make the decision what’s best for the team. Each player wants to play his own game, but that’s simply not possible. I have to convince them which way is the best way.
“I have no doubt that Muller, Martinez and Gotze will still play for Bayern next season and will do a good job. That is my opinion.”
In addition to their Bundesliga success, Guardiola’s Bayern could also win the DFB-Pokal. They take on Borussia Dortmund in the final on May 17.

CONTROVERSY NEVER WORKS FOR ME – JAYWON

It is not news anymore that popular hip-hop star, Jaywon, who was under the record label of Kennis Music has parted ways with the premier record label after buying out his contract. But the otherwise peaceful separation has left more questions than answers, with music lovers wanting to know why.
Though Jaywon refused to state why, saying “Controversy never works for me”. But in this interview, the artiste gives enough clues and opens up on life after Kennis Music. Excerpts:
What have you been up to lately?
We’ve been going in and out of Lagos for a couple of events and it’s a new team and it’s like a new Jaywon right now. We’re just trying to see how we could get new materials out there. I have Tan Na Wole which is more of a freestyle and I have Madantin remix featuring Phyno, Olamide and May D.
Have you released any album this year?
For close to three years now I have not dropped any album but I’m presently working on a collabo album with a friend of mine which is probably going to be out before my own album. But right now, you’re going to be getting a lot of singles back to back from Jaywon.
The whole controversy with Kennis music, what started it?
It’s something I really wouldn’t like to talk about. The main thing right now is I’m not with Kennis Music anymore; I’m on my own now. I wouldn’t want to talk about anything that happened. That’s in the past and I don’t want to talk about it. Controversy is not my thing, it never works for me so I just want to do my work and get the songs out to the people. I’m not ready for controversy. I just want to do my thing
Are there any legal issues?
There’s no legal issue, I’m on my own and I run my own team. I’m not having any issue with Kennis Music- my contract expired.
You say you are now with your own record label. What’s the name?
We have a name already registered but I’m not ready to put it out yet. It’s just me and my team and you guys would get to hear more.
Do you think that record labels in Nigerian tend to exploit artistes?
What I think the record labels should know and understand better is that signing an artiste is a partnership. Once you sign an artiste, there should be more of partnership because if both parties are not happy, it won’t work.
Nigerian record labels are trying and I won’t lie to you, without the likes of Kennis Music in this industry, there possibly won’t be much of these other record labels because Kennis Music is like an inspiration to every other record label. Big But for me personally, I think record labels should know that signing an artiste is a partnership and ideas should be shared. It shouldn’t be one-sided because when it’s one-sided, there will always be issues.
What’s your view of the Nigerian music Industry?
The music industry keeps getting better. What we need more right about now is that unity. Let’s just come to realise we are into this business together, we’re in the same race. It’s our industry and if we don’t treat it well, if we don’t love ourselves, we would keep having issues. So I think we just need to love ourselves more, come together and be who we are and let’s not just fake anything.
There are so many artistes out there who fake everything; their status, their personality and their image. Some feel too big for their shoes and unjustly discriminate and snub others. For someone like me,I work with everybody. It’s only when I get attitude from someone that I just say ok, I’d rather be on my own because I don’t take that for anything. Apart from all those attitude things, we are doing great. The industry is 3rd biggest industry in the world. We are good.
How was it like working with Olamide, Phyno and May D on Madantin remix?
Good people, I would say. I watched them grow from when they started and they are all big now and I appreciate the fact that when I call them, they never said ‘no’, so I appreciate them. They didn’t give any issues at all. As a matter of fact, May D recorded his part the same day Olamide and Phyno did theirs.
Who else do you look forward to working with?
Everybody knows me to be that guy that always works with a lot of people. I’ve worked with Tiwa Savage, Olamide, May D, Phyno, Flavour N’abania. I have a new song coming out featuring Storm Rex. Storm Rex is one of the biggest female artistes out of Enugu and from the eastern part of Nigeria. I’m working on different videos.
I have a 3 video projects I’m working on, so 2014 is a great year already but it’s going to be greater because we’re just getting started and my team is working endlessly to make sure we get the materials out there.
Have you won any awards?
We have a couple of awards. My single Odun Yi won ‘Best Recording of the Year’ at the last Headies awards. We have a couple more of them.
Who inspired you to go into music?
The people I listened to while growing up; the likes of King Sunny Ade and Evangelist Ebenezer Obey. I have a lot of their CDs at home and I still listen to almost all the time.

RICH BLACK CELEBS, INCLUDING OPRAH, DIDDY & MAYWEATHER WANT TO BUY CLIPPERS

With the Basketball Commission forcing L.A Clippers owner Donald Sterling to sell his team following his racist audio tape scandal, several high-profile black celebrities have shown interest in buying the team. Oprah Winfrey, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Floyd Mayweather and Magic Johnson have all shown interest, especially Oprah.
Sterling, however, says his team is not for sale and won't go down without a fight. The 81 year old, who has not issued a public apology yet, bought the Clippers for $12 million in 1981. Today they are worth a staggering $575 million. Oprah is worth over $3billion...so she's capable.
The only way Sterling can be forced to give up his team is if 3/4 of the NBA owners agree to the sale.
