COURT ORDER! LAIDE BAKARE'S HUSBAND TO LOSE PROPERTY

Well there are new reports which says, EFCC has obtained a forfeiture order on all his known properties, which might make him lose them in no time. His two filling stations in Ajah, his house in Ibeju Lekki and the actress' newly opened boutique, which her husband established for her, are some of his known properties that might be taken by the law court since he is still alleged to be on the run. They also said the court order have been displayed at the said filling stations.

FERGUSON SUPPORTS GIGGS' APPOINTMENT AS UNITED BOSS

Ryan Giggs has received Sir Alex Ferguson's backing, after he was appointed as Manchester United's interim manager.
Ferguson, who reluctantly agreed that David Moyes be sacked this week, stated that Giggs was the perfect choice to step in for the rest of the season.
Giggs is determined to land the job on a permanent basis and Ferguson has said that the Welshman is United through and through.
“I think that he [Giggs] is the one man they should go to, really,” the Scot, who retired as manager last summer after 26 years, said.
“He's got 20-odd years of experience at Manchester United. I signed him as a kid. He's gone through the gamut of emotions at the club he's experienced all the highs and lows.
“He knows exactly what's needed to be a Manchester United player and I was so pleased he brought Paul Scholes back in, and Nicky Butt of course two great professionals. They understand the club, they are hard workers, they are straight as a die.
“So you have got the right combinations there, there's no doubt about that.”

DR. DRE OVERTAKES JAY Z ON HIP-HOP RICH LIST

American rapper and record producer, Dr. Dre, has overtaken fellow rapper and record producer, Jay Z, on Forbes' list of the Five Wealthiest Hip-Hop Artists.
The publication said Jay Z's assets jumped from $475m (about N81bn) to $520m (about N88bn) in the past year alone. The report said the figure was boosted by his $150m (about N26bn) partnership with Live Nation, his Budweiser Made In America Tour and his Roc Nation Sports agency.
However, this wasn't enough for him to maintain second place on the list. He has now been overtaken by Dr. Dre, whose Beats by Dre company made $1.2bn (N204bn) last year, earning him $200m (N34bn) and leaving him with a total of $550m (about N85bn).
Top of the list again was Puff Daddy, who is worth an estimated $700m (N119bn), thanks mostly to his non-musical ventures such as Revolt TV.
Cash Money Records founder, Birdman, is in fourth place on the list, worth an estimated $160m (about N27bn), while 50 Cent comes in fifth place with an estimated worth of $140m (N23.8bn), thanks mostly to his $100m (N17bn) haul from the sale of VitaminWater in 2007.
Who is Dr. Dre?Andre Romelle Young, better known by his stage name, Dr. Dre, is an eminent American rapper and producer, who attained prominence with his solo album, The Chronic, and rap record label, Death Row Records.
The rapper, who also produced some albums for Snoop Dogg and Eminem, pioneered gangsta hip-hop and delivered a number of tplatinum-selling albums.
Also known for his inflammatory lyrics and the unique variation of his sound during gigs, the extremely confident Grammy awards winner, claims that he can make a record hit even with a three-year- old. This can be considered true considering the immense potential the record producer has.
Born on February 18, 1965 in Los Angeles, Dr. Dre started his early career performing gigs as a hip-hop deejay at night parties in the south-central district.
He founded the group 'Niggaz with Attitude' with fellow rappers, Ice Cube and Eazy-E, which brought a revolution in the gangsta rap movement. The group's second album 'Straight Outta Compton' had a criminal theme based on violence, featuring overt descriptions of street violence and drug trade.

A respected musical artist in the industry, Dr. Dre makes lots of money and lives a lavish lifestyle. The musician rubs shoulders with some of the most elite people in the world of entertainment as he attends the town's most exclusive parties.

GUARDIOLA 'SAD FOREVER' OVER VILANOVA DEATH

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola on Saturday expressed his grief over the death of Tito Vilanova, his former assistant at Barcelona, saying his sadness will remain for the rest of his life.
“We were friends. My heart is with his parents, his wife and his children. The sadness will stay with me forever,” said Guardiola after Vilanova died on Friday following a long battle with cancer aged 45.
There was a minute's silence before Bayern's 5-2 win over Werder Bremen on Saturday at Munich's Allianz Arena while the home players wore black armbands.
Vilanova was Guardiola's right-hand man in one of the most successful periods in Barcelona's history when the Catalans won 14 trophies in four years under their former captain, including two Champions Leagues, between 2008 and 2012.
When Guardiola stepped down at the end of the 2011/12 season to take a year's sabbatical in New York before joining Bayern Munich, Vilanova was promoted to replace him.
But his only season in charge was disrupted by health problems as he had to spend two months in New York receiving chemotherapy treatment.
He returned to the job in time to see Barca seal their 22nd La Liga title with a record 100 points tally.
However, he was eventually forced to step down just two weeks before the start of the current campaign due to his ongoing health problems having been first diagnosed with cancer of the salivary gland over two years ago.

On Thursday, a young girl who was a guest at the White House’s annual “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day,” proved she was the best daughter of them all, when she handed First Lady Michelle Obama a copy of her unemployed dad’s resume.

When Obama called on a girl, identified by the Associated Press as 10-year-old Charlotte Bell, during a question-and-answer session, the girl stood up and walked toward the first lady.
“My dad’s been out of a job for three years and I wanted to give you his résumé,” Charlotte said.
Obama seemed surprised, then invited the girl on stage and gave her a hug. “Oh my goodness,” Obama said while hugging Charlotte.
After speaking with Charlotte for a short while, FLOTUS held up the resume and said:
“Well it’s a little private, but she’s doing something for her dad. Alright?”Well that’s one cute way to apply for a job! No word yet on if her father was offered a position.

FORMER BARCELONA COACH, TITO VILANOVA DIES OF CANCER

A former Barcelona coach, Tito Vilanova, has died at the age of 45 after a long battle with cancer, this afternoon. He was rushed to the hospital yesterday when his health deteriorated and passed on this afternoon.
Barcelona had announced that Vilanova was suffering from parotid gland cancer for the second time in December 2012, after he was first diagnosed a year earlier in November 22.
He was forced to resign his job when he could not cope with the demands of the job. Vilanova was 45.

CHRIS BROWN BREAKS DOWN IN TEARS AS HE IS THROWN BACK IN JAIL TILL JUNE

Chris Brown has been thrown back in jail until June after his bail application was denied by the judge.
The trial was to start on April 23 but was postponed till June. He has been locked up since March 14 and faces a 4 year jail sentence...CNN reports.
Chris Brown must return to California the same way he got to Washington, D.C. -- in chains on the grueling "Con Air" inmate transport system.
A Los Angeles judge refused a request to free the singer from custody on Wednesday so he could make his own way back from Washington.
His lawyer, Mark Geragos, said:
"I think it's a little over the top to have him in custody on this misdemeanor when everybody saw the bodyguard's trial and which was nothing more than a bloody nose,And you have got the bodyguard who was convicted and who readily admitted he was the one who did the punching. So all of this is much ado about nothing."A source told Hollywood Life that he broke down in tears in front of his girlfriend Karrueche Tran who was at the trial, confessing he was so terrified of being locked up for 4 years. He also said he is tired and doesn't sleep because he's nervous.

P-SQUARE: PETER GIVES CONDITION FOR PEACE

Nearly one week after Jude Okoye, elder brother to singing duo Paul and Peter Okoye (P-Square) posted on twitter that he was ‘done’, the stand-off in the Okoye family is far from abating with insiders telling Vanguard that Peter had refused to be appeased despite interventions from close friends.
Peter reportedly gave condition for peace, saying his wife, Lola, must be accepted and respected by the family or risk total isolation from him.
Several sources contacted by Vanguard confirmed that this was his only condition for peace.
One insider said: “Peter is tired of the long years he has had to plead with his family to accept the woman he has decided to spend the rest of his life with.
“He wants Lola to be welcomed in the family just as Anita (Paul’s wife) has been accepted irrespective of her tribe or age. This is his condition.”
Although the twins had fought at their dance rehearsal earlier in the month, Vanguard learnt this was not what had ultimately prompted Peter to severe his relationship with P-Square.
The source said Peter “has taken their attitude towards Lola even more to heart than what role he plays in P-Square, be it singing or dancing.
“He can no longer endure the ill-affection concerning his wife.”
Sources further said that the crisis had escalated after it was learnt that Peter had allegedly bought a house for Lola in the United States of America, USA.
Paul dilemna

It was learnt that Peter’s twin, Paul is currently confused as he does not know who to support. It was gathered that the twins had returned to talking terms, but that Paul is yet to show full support for Peter’s cause.
The source said: “The twins adore their mother and before she passed on, she had made it clear she was not in support of Peter and Lola’s union.
“Maybe that is why it is difficult for Paul. He does not want to be seen as being completely against the wish of their mother.”
It was leant that he is the one making the most effort to bring an end to the crisis by appealing to Peter and the rest of the family.
Jude OkoyeTheir elder brother, Jude Engees Okoye, has also refused to be placated.
According to the source, “there have been accusations and counter-accusations between Jude and Lola, each alleging that the other is rude and disrespectful.
“Jude holds on to this as his reason for not accepting Lola. But this is not the only reason.”
Peacemakers, who are industry friends and close business associates have however intensified efforts in resolving the crisis.

Sources, however, warn that the brand is still in dangerous territory, saying “anything can still happen tomorrow.
“You could wake up to hear the group has officially disintegrated or reconciled. We can only watch, wait and pray.”

RAMIRES HANDED FOUR-MATCH BAN BY THE FA

The Football Association has handed Chelsea midfielder Ramires, a four-match ban after he accepted an FA charge of violent conduct, during the Blues’ 2-1 loss to Sunderland.
The Brazilian hit Black Cats’ midfielder Sebastian Larsson in the face, in an incident which referee Mike Dean failed to spot and will now miss the remaining games of this season.
“Chelsea midfielder Ramires has accepted a charge of violent conduct following an off-the-ball incident that was not seen by the match officials but caught on video,” an FA statement read.
“The incident occurred during Chelsea’s Premier League fixture against Sunderland at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, April 19.
“Ramires receives a four-match ban which will start with immediate effect.
“The ban includes three games for this offence plus an additional game for his sending-off at Villa Park last month.”
Meanwhile, Blues boss Jose Mourinho and his assistant Rui Faria, have until Monday to respond to their own charges of misconduct.

TERRY G, CREW EXCHANGE BLOWS WITH HOTEL MANAGER

Terry G on Wednesday was once again involved in a street brawl, 23rd of April, 2014 at Treasures Exclusive Garden, at Iju, not far from his house when he exchanged blows with the manager of the relaxation place.
It was gathered that, Terry G and his boys arrived the place around 6pm and one of his boys on getting there, quickly undressed and jumped into the hotel pool without paying or taking permission from those in charge.
He was ordered to leave the pool by a security man, but the warning and shouting fell on his deaf ears. The hotel manager and the owner of the place joined the security man and asked him to leave, but he still refused. He was forced to leave the pool, which eyewitnesses said made the rest of the singer’s crew upset and the environment turned violent.
Terry G who wasn’t happy about what was going on started raining abuses on the hotel owner. The hotel manager, who moved towards him to calm him down, also received his own share of terry’s anger, when the singer rained heavy blows on him. He retaliated and the fight soon became a free for all. The matter was later reported at a nearby police station by the hotel owner.

You just won N1million on ‘Who Deserves To Be A Millionaire’ hot seat, although you were aided by Babatunde Oni and Gloria Young. How do you feel?I am grateful to God. I feel great and happy. God is good to me. I am grateful to the people that were with me in the hot seat, they are good as well.What was the cause of your illness?One day, as I was returning home and just as I approached my gate, I got down from the car, only God knows where the wind was coming from, it blew in my direction and I fell down. A person who saw me raised an alarm and immediately my wife and my children came out, they saw me rolling on the ground and began to cry.
Immediately carried me into the car and I was taken to the hospital. The car was driven by one of my daughters. Later, mysterious wind developed into high blood pressure and high fever, in some cases it would have resulted to permanent stroke, but in my own case, God took control. It was strange, but I thank God. Here I am today.When did you receive your MFR award and how was the feeling?I was glad. I received it in 2005, when Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was the president of Nigeria. It was a great honour.Who were the other people that received an award on that day?We were many, but I can remember a few. I remember Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Dr Mike Adenuga. I remember Mr Sunday Ehindero then Inspector-General of Police, Mr Sogo Agboola, a popular custom officer then, Chief Ebenezer Babatope and Chief Jimoh Aliu. Those are the people I can remember now.Why do you think the Federal Government considered you for such coveted honour?I have continued to wonder because I was a mere ‘Bata’ dancer who thought nobody was paying more than usual attention to what I did. I know people really love me, Nigerians do love me and I don’t want them to relent. I want them to continue to show me the love, to pray for me and come around me, so I can really get back to my theatre profession and achieve my goal by the grace of God.Is there any project you’re nursing or possibly working on?I am praying to God to grant me the grace to build a Theatre Village of my own, no matter how small, so I can employ professionals to teach my boys and girls the art of drama and dancing. I NEVER SAID MY PARENTS ARE SIBLINGS…HARRYSONG DENIES MAGAZINE STORY

Singer and song writer, Harrysong has said, he never granted YES Magazine and interview where he said his parents are siblings. Below is a press statement from his publicist.
Harrysong a.k.a Mr. Songz has reacted to the story making rounds on the blog about his parents, the news item culled from a supposed interview he had with a magazine and published on the 22nd of April, 2014. The sought after songwriter and singer finds it appalling that an interview of such would be fabricated and published.
'I have not granted any magazine an interview in the last 12 months where I spoke about my late parent so I find it worrisome, disheartening that a magazine would manufacture a story like such. It is disturbing,' Harrysong vents. 

Harrysong reiterates that he did not speak to YES! Magazine, neither as he spoke about his parents in the press in recent time.
This would be the last and only statement Harrysong would be releasing and advises that every blog retract the story.
'I implore that the blogs and magazine respect the memory of my late mother and retract the story/interview. I really i'm busy promoting my new video for 'story',' Harrysong who just released a video for his new single titled 'Story' added.

ARSENAL CONTACT VAN GAAL DUE TO WENGER UNCERTAINTY

The Gunners regard the Netherlands coach as one of several short-term contingency plans in the event that their manager decides to call time on his 18-year reign next month.
Arsenal have made contact with Louis van Gaal amid ongoing uncertainty over the future of Arsene Wenger. 

The Gunners remain confident that Wenger will sign a two-year contract extension agreed last October but know he will quit as manager if the team fail to meet his targets over the next month.
As revealed, the Frenchman has told friends he is considering bringing an end to his 18-year Gunners reign if they do not win the FA Cup and finish in the top four of the Premier League.
One of several "short-term" contingency plans being explored by Arsenal is luring Van Gaal to north London when his contract with Holland expires after the World Cup.
Van Gaal has already held talks with a delegation from Manchester United and has had three meetings with Tottenham but it is understood that the Dutchman has rejected the opportunity to replace Tim Sherwood at Spurs at the end of the season.
Van Gaal is now keeping his options open as he awaits developments at both United and Arsenal.
Intriguingly, three of his former backroom staff, all Dutchmen, have recently taken on jobs at the Arsenal academy following a restructuring of the club's youth set-up.
Andres Jonker, who will replace the retiring Liam Brady as academy director in the summer, worked alongside Van Gaal at Bayern Munich and Barcelona as well as at the Dutch FA.
Jan van Loon, who will manage the Under-16s, and Frans de Kat, who will coach the Under-18, both worked with Van Gaal at the Dutch FA. The Dutch trio will all start on July 1.
Despite considering Van Gaal, losing Wenger would be a huge blow to Arsenal chiefs, who have continued to give the Frenchman their unwavering support.
The results of the last four matches of the season, which culminate in the FA Cup final against Hull City on May 17, are now set to determine whether Wenger formally commits to a deal that would extend his reign to a remarkable 20 years.
There are not expected to be wholesale changes to the backroom team should Wenger make the shock decision to call time on his Arsenal tenure.
Long-standing ally Boro Primorac, fitness coach Tony Colbert and goalkeeping coach Gerry Peyton would be likely to follow Wenger out of the exit door but assistant manager Steve Bould, first-team coach Neil Banfield and the rest of the senior medical and technical staff would be expected to stay on.
All of the senior staff have agreed deals that mirror Wenger's and run until 2016, while more junior members of Wenger's backroom team are on 12-month rolling contracts. It is understood the agreements are all in place and are waiting on Wenger to be formalsly rubberstamped.

George ekes out a living in the treacherous murky waters of the waste deluged Lagos lagoon and just like thousands in the many slums of Nigeria, his life story is already written and sealed by fate even before he came into the world. But after the murder of his brother, George sets out not to allow his brother's dream to die and along the way gets entangled with the stunningly beautiful scarlet (Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde).

I WAS AFRAID TO RETURN FROM INJURY, ADMITS RONALDO

The Ballon d'Or holder was thrust back into the startIng line-up in the win over Bayern Munich but says he felt ready after three weeks out.

Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he was afraid to return in Real Madrid's 1-0 win over Bayern Munich, but insists he was fit enough to return to Champions League action.

The Portugal international has not featured since the Blancos' 3-0 home leg win over Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-final - exactly three weeks prior to his start at Santiago Bernabeu against the European champions.

He played a key part in Karim Benzema's goal which allowed Carlo Ancelotti's men to defeat die Roten 1-0 in the semi-final first leg and the Ballon d'Or holder was delighted with the result ahead of next Tuesday's return at the Allianz Arena.

"I was afraid - it was my first match after three weeks out," he told reporters after the game. "Some people didn't want me to play and some people did. I felt well and ready for the next few games.

"One-nil is a good result. We have a good advantage and if we score next week it will be so difficult for them to qualify for the final.

"The second leg will be a tense match. We have a little advantage so let's see if that is enough."

Madrid will now temporarily turn their attention to La Liga, as they prepare to host Osasuna on Saturday as they look to close the gap to leaders Atletico Madrid.

'MY MOTHER AND FATHER WERE BROTHER AND SISTER' - HARRYSONG REVEALS

Singer Harrysong known now as Mr Songs, revealed recently that his father and mother are siblings.
In an interview with Yes! magazine, he said he's an only child because his parents split after finding out they were related by blood.
"My father and mother are actually brother and sister. They gave birth to me before they could realize that. It was a big abomination, so they had to separate. Even, they attempted to kill my father in that village but he fled, because in Warri where I come from, it is a taboo. They termed it incest.”

D'banj visited Nyanya blast victims on April 22nd, where he reportedly donated several gift items to the victims and settled some hospital bills.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, the entertainer visited the victims at the Asokoro District Hospital, Abuja in company of the FCT Health Secretary, Dr Ademola Onakomaiya.
During his visit, D'banj said the government alone cannot do all that is required for peace to reign in the country.
"I am a Nigerian and I am affected by any tragedy that befalls us and particularly in the spirit of Easter, I came to show the victims support. I have seen that the survivors are responding positively to treatment and thanked the medical team here for the efforts.
"We are appealing to the perpetrators of these acts to have a rethink and support the peace initiative so that our people would not be subjected to such wickedness,” he said.

AFTERMATH OF NYANYA BLAST: MILITARY CHECKPOINT CAUSES TRAFFIC GRIDLOCK

In the wake of the Nyanya bomb blast which occurred on Monday April 14th, which killed over 80 people, military checkpoints have been mounted at various strategic road junctions to check human and vehicular activities in the FCT.

Motorists/workers say these checkpoints have become a big problem for them as they lose many useful hours in traffic with some of them getting late to work and receiving queries.

According to a report on Channels TV, residents in Abuja say their fear is in the manner in which the military men carry out their search operations. They say the traffic opens them to a possible attack from Boko Haram men who can take advantage of the gridlock and strike again. They pleaded with the military to seek more effective ways to carry out their search
