Tara is on the left
According to US weekly,Tara Reid stormed out of a radio interview with Jenny McCarthy during a Friday, July 15, appearance on the former Playboy model’s SiriusXM radio show.
It all started when McCarthy, 43, asked Reid, 40, about her recent stint on WE tv’sMarriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars: “I f–king love you on that show, but are you glad you did it?”
The Taradise alum, who appears on the series with boyfriend Dean May, was none too pleased that McCarthy brought it up.
“I think the whole thing is absolutely stupid and silly. And, like, we’re not even talking about it because there’s confusing things about it,” the actress, who stopped by the show to promote her latest film, Sharknado 4. “So right now, we’re just talking aboutSharknado. It’s not worth the time to talk about.”
But that didn’t stop McCarthy from pressing Reid with more reality TV-related queries: “Are you pissed off at the people’s comments or just the show in general?”
Clearly not amused (and possibly embarrassed to acknowledge her participation inMarriage Boot Camp), the American Pie star pleaded with McCarthy to change the subject. “Babe, I asked you, please let’s not talk about this show,” she begged. “We’re all here about Sharknado.”
McCarthy listened and shifted the focus of their conversation to health and fitness. “So did you have to get into shape for Sharknado or are you still in the same shape you’ve always been?” she offered, to which Reid flatly responded: “It’s not like you really need to get into shape. It’s Sharknado. They’re fake sharks.”Perhaps a bit bored with their stale discussion, McCarthy tried talking about
plastic surgery, a topic that also unnerved Reid. "People talked about your surgeries before. Are you still going through surgeries or are you past them?” the host asked.
“No, I haven’t had any surgery for awhile, Jenny,” Reid coldly replied. Despite McCarthy praising her guest for being open about her procedures (such as a boob job and liposuction), Reid seemed to pause the interview for a moment to speak to someone else.
“So, you’re good and done, not moving forward with plastic surgery?” McCarthy added, making an effort to diffuse any tension.
“I think I’ve made that clear about 100 times,” Reid fired back. “Maybe you only read the bad things, but I’ve made that really clear for so many years.”
This exchange resulted in a passive aggressive verbal war that began with Reid saying, “It was really nice talking to you and really good luck with your show.”
“Good luck to you, too, and I’m so excited about Sharknado and I hope you stay married,” McCarthy sniped. “I hope your knees get a little wobblier than they already are.”
“I hope your tits get even nicer, because they’re amazing. The same guy who did mine, right?” Reid spewed as she walked out. “I’ll always use your advice. You’re the best. Bye.”
It all ended with one final zinger from McCarthy: “Love you, Tara. Good luck with Sharknado 18.”
*A zinger is an insult embedded in a comment..lol
