TUNDE KELANI RELEASES ‘DAZZLING MIRAGE’ TRAILER

Tunde Kelani, one of Africa’s most accomplished filmmakers has released the new trailer and official poster of his new film Dazzling Mirage.
Kelani released on Thursday 19 June for the World Sickle Cell Awareness Day.
The United Nations classify sickle cell anemia as one of the common genetic diseases in the world which can lead to death. It is most common in many African and Asian countries.
Thus every 19 June has been set aside as the World Sickle Cell Awareness Day to increase awareness of this disease.
Moreover, it seeks to correct misconceptions about this disease, highlighting the importance of early detection to know whether or not the fetus will be affected or if it is just a carrier.
Dazzling Mirage is the story of a talented, beautiful young sickle-cell sufferer who overcomes social stigma, prejudice and her own low self-esteem, to achieve career success, marriage and motherhood.
The film is an adaptation of Olayinka Abimbola Egbokhare’s Dazzling Mirage.
Kelani had commissioned award-winning London-based and critically acclaimed Nigerian screenwriter Ade Solanke to bring this wonderful story to the screen.
It features an all-star cast including Kemi (Lala) Akindoju, Kunle Afolayan, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Seun Akindele, Taiwo Ajai Lycett, Bimbo Manuel, Carol King, Khabirat Kafidipe, Bukola Awoyemi among others.
