CHECKOUT HOW PROUD OLAMIDE IS WITH SON

Singer, Olamide, knows that he needs to work hard to ensure that his son gets the best out of life considering how he has struggled to come this far.

The singer out of his busy schedule took out time to spend with his son, Batifeori Maximilliano Adedeji, who is all grown.

Looking at the young chap, one is sure seeing the carbon copy of his father and who knows, he might want to delve into entertainment like his father or might be a doctor to be able to treat the singer when he is old.

GOOD WOMEN ARE HARD TO FIND, APPRECIATE THE ONE YOU HAVE…PAUL OKOYE WARNS

These days, the high rate of divorce cases has been on the increase and domestic violence which has made some women vow not to be under the control if any man.

Recently, one of the P-Sqaure duo, Paul Okoye, has come out to thank God on behalf of some women who have stood from the scratch with their man to build a good home with him.
Paul, who shared a meme which reads, “Shout out to the women who aren’t afraid of being with a man who is a work in progress,” stated that such good women are worth appreciating as their type is scarce to see these days.
In his words, “Those type of women are hard to find. Always thank God if you have such a woman.”

DENRELE EDUN IS MY GODFATHER – BEVERLY OSU

BackgroundI am an actress, model, writer and humanitarian. I participated in the reality television show, Big Brother Africa The Chase, in 2014.

Big Brother AfricaParticipating in the reality television show impacted my life and obviously opened doors for me. Also, the lessons have proven useful. I was able to understand that no one can spoon-feed you to the top; you have to believe in yourself.

Acting
I have been into the arts for quite a long time. I used to make comic books while I was in secondary school. I also used to take part in stage drama and I was the school’s social prefect.

Current project
I am currently focused on my acting, modelling and writing careers. Last year, I released Beverly’s Book of Pose. It is not a clone or imitation of Kim Kardashian’s Book of Selfies. The title, ‘Beverly’s Book of Pose,’ is relatable to my models. I love Kim’s hard work but I really don’t look up to her.

Modelling nude

Everybody has his or her opinion, and at the end of the day, it is what I feel that matters. However, I don’t model nude.

Fame

It is usually difficult for celebrities to be themselves because the society has a way of appraising them. Society wants to tell celebrities how to dress, talk or act but I am me; I am friendly when I want to be and I dance wherever I want to or whenever I feel like. People tend to forget that celebrities are also human beings and we do not have two heads. I don’t handle fame; I just live my life because being famous is now a part of my life; it is expensive but it was not something I planned for.

CriticismInitially, I was bothered about being criticised by several people, but I soon realised that it helped me improve on my act and expand my level of thinking. It also helped me change what needed to be changed and dump what was unnecessary. I learn all the time.

Sad Valentine postAs a writer, I can relate with the things that happen every day and around me. As an actress and model, I can interpret a story anyway I please. The inspiration for my Sad Valentine post on social media and pictures came from people’s story. Although my first date was on a Valentine’s Day, I am not really keen about Valentine.

Terry GI never dated Terry G, so how could we have broken up? We have attended public events in company with each other, but it is the same with other showbiz personalities. How are we romantically linked?

Love and marriage        I will always show love, because it is my second nature and nothing will stop me. Marriage will come at the right time; I am not under pressure.

Mr. RightI do not want to let the cat out of the bag, but I love an honest, God-fearing man.

BeautyMy life is a constant battle between my love for sweet things and not wanting to get fat. I do not sleep with make-up on my face, no matter how stressful my day was. I moisturise my face with shea butter.

LeisureI am a music lover, so most of the time I listen to music or I write . Also, I enjoy Denrele Edun’s company and it makes me excited. He is my godfather.

StyleStyle to me is freedom or ‘comfortable discomfort,’ if there is anything like that. I like comfort, so I try to wear clothes that make me feel relaxed. Most times, I go overboard with it, but simplicity is very important.

THIS IS BRILLIANT - NO WONDER HE'S A CLUB LEGEND AT LIVERPOOL!

Steven Gerrard has gone to great lengths to make sure he is able to watch his former club Liverpool in the Capital One Cup final against Manchester City on Sunday.

The 35-year-old spent 17 seasons at his boyhood club before moving to LA Galaxy at the end of last season.

The midfielder picked up nine trophies during his time at Anfield and he will be devastated that he’s not on the pitch on Sunday at Wembley.

In fact, Gerrard was close to not being to watch the match at all.

“When Liverpool reached the final the first thing I did was check our fixture list, hoping to get to Wembley,” he wrote in his column for the Telegraph.

WILL NIGERIANS BOYCOTT BANKS ON TUESDAY?

If Nigerians heed the call by the Consumer Advocacy Foundation of Nigeria (CAFON) and Coalition of Nigerian Consumer Protection Associations, banks across the country, on Tuesday, March 1, will be empty.

The group wants Nigerians to boycott the banks on that day in protest against alleged arbitrary charges imposed on customers by the financial institutions. This is coming weeks after the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) imposed N50 on customers as compulsory stamp duty on deposits of N1,000 and above. The charge, however, is collected on behalf of NIPOST and the Federal Government and it goes to the Federation Account.  Only last week, the CBN said it got banks across the country to return excess charges, estimated at N6.2billion, to customers. Our investigations revealed that, aside  normal bank charges associated with daily transactions, depositors are exposed to many hidden charges as well as what financial experts described as arbitrary charges.

MY WIFE CANNOT ABANDON ME BECAUSE OF FAME – OLAJUMOKE’S HUSBAND

Sunday Orisaguna, husband of bread seller-turned-model, has finally opened up about the new found fame and fortune that smiled on her wife, Olajumoke.

In a chat with Encomium Magazine, the Osun State-based artisan expressed confidence that she remained the girl she met many years ago despite the sudden fame that came her way.
“I am very happy. I never expected it. I didn’t know things will turn around for us this soon. I wasn’t expecting it. I cannot express how I feel today. I didn’t know we can get to where we are today. From the time I was born till now, it is overwhelming. I didn’t ever envisage such a great thing. I didn’t know we can ever get here”, he stated.
Asked if he feels threatened by Olajumoke’s new fortune, he said “I am not afraid because when we had nothing, she was always there. If I said I needed this, she would give me. I am not afraid. If she is rich today, we both own it. I trust her for that. She has been a very good wife. I believe she will continue to be good.”
On how they met he said, “She came to greet her grandma in my area some years back. She came from Lagos. She went to her mother’s younger sister, who introduced her to hairdressing. I used to go to where she was learning hairdressing to toast her but she insisted that she came to learn hairdressing and not to befriend a man. I used to go there often and after six months, she said yes, that was how it all started.”
Orisaguna revealed that they were already making plans to relocate.
“Yes, that is what we are praying for. We need to relocate. We need accommodation and every other thing. Lagos is not an easy place. We didn’t know we would get a house. We don’t know how far it is from the house and her work place. You have to consider the traffic and everything. Unless one has a personal car we can use to drive her to work so that she wouldn’t be late for work. I will go back home to bring my other daughter so that we can all come over to Lagos,” he said.

TRENDING: OLAJUMOKE’S TURNAROUND AND HER HUSBAND’S POSITION

The bread seller turned model, Olajumoke Orisagunna, is still trending. She has become the new face of Nigerian Designer, Layo G and featured prominently in the designer’s new lookbook released earlier this week.
The social media is also abuzz about the unconfirmed news of the model’s new appointment as brand ambassador of one Shirley Confectioneries, an Abuja based company.
However, on the other side, one of the pictures of Olajumoke in company with her husband, her daughter and some other people is generating questions about what may become of her husband. Though her husband, Sunday Orisaguna has said in interviews that he is not threatened by his wife’s fast-paced success story, people are still making comments about him and trying to juxtapose his feelings with theirs.

There are some though, who have words of encouragement for the marriage to remain strong.

I MISS MY DAUGHTER – DAVIDO

Nigerian multiple award-winning artiste and HKN Gang leader, Davido, is yearning to see his daughter, Imade Adeleke, almost two months after a social media row with her mum, Sophie Momodu, and her uncle, Ovation magazine publisher Dele Momodu.

Davido, in a tweet on Tuesday apparently declared his regret for not being with his daughter.
He tweeted: “Miss my daughter so much!! I can’t live without her.!!”
Davido had a huge row with his baby mama over her alleged poor care for their daughter.

In open posts on social media, he accused Sophie of inadvertently transmitting cannabis to their daughter through breast milk.

He also accused Sophie of ingratitude in spite of the N300,000 monthly allowance he had been giving her.

However, her uncle fired back, accusing Davido and his family of deceitfully seizing the child from her mum and attempting to smuggle Imade out of Nigeria on a forged passport.

Although Davido threw shades at Dele Momodu, he later apologised. But there were insinuations that Davido hit at Dele Momodu in the remix version of ‘Osinachi,’ a hit track by upcoming artiste, Humblesmith.

Momodu eventually petitioned the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, which has opened an enquiry into the issue.

JAMB REOPENS PORTAL FOR UTME REGISTRATION

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has caved in to protests that it had prevented many candidates to register for the forthcoming 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), by shutting down its online registration portal.

Although the body had dismissed the protest as wrong-headed, in a statement today, it said it is giving a 48-hour extension for applicants to complete registration process.

JAMB will reopen its website between 12 midnight on Tuesday and 12 midnight on Thursday to allow applicants complete their registration process for the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

But the fresh grace, the Board stated, will only be for applicants who were unable to complete the registration process as of Friday, 5 February, when the registration closed and not those who want to begin a fresh registration process.

The reopening of the portal, it said will enable applicants who have initiated the process of registration for the 2016 UTME but couldn’t upload and complete the process, noting that the grace would not cover applicants who want to start fresh registration process.

According to spokesman, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, “the directive doesn’t cover fresh registration but only those who had either done offline registration or visited our website but could not submit.”

“The Board wishes to state that all arrangements for the 2016 UTME has been completed and examination will commence as earlier stated,” the statement added, urging candidates to print their examination slips for the schedules of their date, venue, time allotted to them and other necessary information.

5 STEPS AN ENTREPRENEUR CAN TAKE TO SUCCESSFULLY PARTNER WITH A LARGER COMPANY

This is an interesting article on TNW.

In the article, the author encourages entrepreneurs, to partner with a, more established company in order to have a greater sense of stability as their new startups grow.

In this post, we will highlight the five steps he recommends in the article for an entreprenuer to successfully partner with a larger company:

1. Define what you want out of a partnershipYou need to have a good sense of what you want the end results of any partnership to be before you consider it. Once you’ve decided on the type of help your startup needs, you can start looking for the right partner.

2. Know what you bring to the table

A great relationship is a balance of give and take. Know what you have to offer the company you want to partner with. If your startup is a solution provider, you need to find a way your solution helps them, too.

Have brainstorming sessions with your team to look at potential partners’ needs with a wide-angle lens. Coming up with the right insight can be the key to unlocking the partnership opportunity you want.

3. Find a personal contact at the larger companyThings are infinitely easier if you already have a connection in the bigger company.

Turn to your professional network and see if you and the company you’d like to partner with have any mutual friends. Having a warm introduction will lead to a substantive conversation faster.

4. Make sure goals alignAs you embark on any undertaking with a new partner, it’s important to be upfront and honest about each other’s expectations for the project. Get on the same page about everything from each company‘s roles and responsibilities to how you’ll evaluate success.

5. Be patientIt’s unfortunate, but the bigger a company is, the longer it takes for decisions to be made. Given the extra layers of management and the number of people that must be included in each step of the process, it’s important to be ready for a much, much slower pace than what a startup company is used to.

As an entrepreneur, it can be frustrating to constantly be waiting for your partner to get back to you with their decision. But realize that, from their perspective, it can be equally annoying to feel rushed.

Establish deadlines and modes of communication that both sides are comfortable with and be understanding when red tape occasionally slows things down.

Partnering with a larger company isn’t right for every startup. It takes a hard work and collaboration, as well as a lot of patience! However, teaming up with a more established company can be a huge win if you get it right.

Kindly share with your loved ones.
