Believe it or not, the last time the award winning duo of Peter and Paul Okoye, otherwise called P-square, were on a Nigerian radio station for an interview was in 2011. And it was on urban radio station, BeatFm 99.9.
Nearly three years later, they returned to grant an exclusive interview on the same station, appearing on the Midday Show with Toolz, where they explained why they don’t grant interviews on radio.
‘We are quite busy and we don’t really have much time,’ they said.
The duo, currently promoting their soon-to-be-released 6th album, added: ‘Then again, we feel it’s good to make ourselves scarce so people will miss us and not just show up everywhere, every time.’
They also admitted to the fact that they’ve had issues recently, but reiterated that all is resolved now.
‘As you can see, we are good now, we just can’t understand why people don’t realise we are humans too, we had our issues, but we are all good now.’
Toolz made them share a hug on the show as they further revealed that their 6th studio album, titled Double Trouble, will be released on September 12, 2014, featuring collaborations with T.I, Jermaine Jackson, Dave Scott, Don Jazzy and others.
According to them, ‘this album has taken us 3 years to put together, we began work on it immediately we dropped our last album ‘Invasion.’
However, to the disappointment of their fans, the twins said people should not expect an album release concert this year.
