WHEN ICE PRINCE LAUNCHED HIS SOPHOMORE ALBUM

It was a packed audience on Saturday 23 November as Nigerian hip-hop star and BET Award winner, Panshak Zamani popularly known as Ice Prince launched his second album, Fire Of Zamani at a concert at the Expo Centre of Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The explosive concert which was put together by his record label, Chocolate City saw industry captains and entertainment icons come to celebrate with the rap star. It featured various electrifying musical performances from the Fire Of Zamani album.
DJ Caise, Chocolate City and Beat 99.9 FM DJ, opened the concert and thrilled the audience with hits from his turntable. His performance was followed by a captivating dance performance by the DNMT crew. They showed contemporary dance moves to popular hits like Skelewu and Khona. Chocolate City’s Pryse delivered a thrilling performance of her new single, Niger Delta Money.
Popular politician and former member, House of Representatives Patrick Obahiagbon who was the host for the evening, did not fail to dazzle the audience with his big grammar as he welcomed Ice Prince for the first time on the Fire Of Zamani stage.
Ice Prince’s performance with Chocolate City VP, MI was a mix of emotions and energy as he blessed Ice Prince before the crowd. Their high energy, Hausa themed dance performance of Action Film had the crowd begging for more.
Urban UK artiste, Chip, formerly known as Chipmunk, who was in Nigeria for the first time delivered an energetic performance with Ice Prince for the track Mercy.
Ice Prince later introduced him to fellow Nigerian entertainers, telling Chip not to forget names like Don Jazzy, D’Banj and Iyanya. By the time Chip rendered a solo performance of his hit song, Every Gyal, the concert became a full-blown music festival.
Other performances at the event included Don Jazzy and Dr. Sid’s performance of Surulere. Ice Prince also performed I Swear alongside Shaydee of EME Crew, and Pray, another duet with Jeremaiah Gyang among many others.
“It is obvious that a lot of time, creativity and innovation were put into Fire Of Zamani from the production, right up till the launch event. The amazing responses we have received so far show that Nigerians appreciate good music and we are committed to continuing to do that,” said Audu Maikori, CEO Chocolate City, after the concert.
