SUICIDE ATTEMPT: FAMOUS RAPPER CHOPS OFF HIS OWN PENIS THEN JUMPS FROM SECOND FLOOR BALCONY (PICTURED)

A rapper who worked with members of the group Wu-Tang Clan cut off his penis and jumped from a second floor balcony in an apparent suicide attempt, TMZ reports.

Andre Johnson was found on the sidewalk outside an apartment building in West Hollywood at 1:00 am on Wednesday morning and taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital in critical condition.

A spokesperson for the hospital said it does not comment on patients, but TMZ reports that attempts to reattach Johnson's penis failed.

Johnson is also known by the stage name Christ Bearer, and is in the rap group Northstar. Wu-Tang Clan founding member RZA produced Northstar's debut album.

Members of Northstar told TMZ they were there when Johnson, without warning, cut off his penis and leaped. They said by the time they got downstairs he was running around screaming.

They also said hard drugs were not involved, and believe Johnson must have mental problems.

JAMB RESULTS RELEASED, 47 APPLICANTS SCORE ABOVE 250

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the results of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted last week.

Registrar/Chief Executive of JAMB, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, stated that 47 applicants scored above 250 in the examination. Breaking down the performance, he said 24 students scored above 250 in the Paper Pencil Test (PPT) whilst 23 candidates scored above 250 in the Dual Based Test (DBT).

“In DBT, 2,471 candidates scored below 150, 2,830 scored 150-159, 3,808 scored 160-169; 6,678 candidates also scored between 170-199 while 1,309 candidates scored 200-249.

“A total of 990,179 candidates applied for PPT while 25,325 candidates applied for DBT which amounts to 1,015,504 applicants”.

“995,901 candidates choose universities as their first choice of institution, 13,761 candidates choose polytechnics as first choice; 20,558 opted for colleges of education while 32 candidates choose innovative enterprise institute as their first choice.”

He added, “In this year's exercise the Board experienced a remarkable decrease in the number of applicants that registered for the PPT.

“This reduction in number is attributed to the growing confidence of candidates in the Computer Based Test (CBT), which definitely will be full blown by 2015.

“Please take note, the 2014 CBT exercise will take place from Saturday, 17th May, 2014 to Saturday, 31st May, 2014?, he said.

Someone has leaked Chris Brown's mugshot from his arrest in Washington D.C back in October 2013 after he and his bodyguard assaulted a male fan who attempted to photo-bomb Chris while he was taking a picture with two women. The victim's nose was broken in the attack.
His bodyguard, Chris Hornsby, who was also arrested, is expected to take responsibility for punching the fan during his trial which is set to begin today April 17th.

Rapper Eve Jihan Jeffers, 35, is said to be preparing for summer nuptials with her fiancée Maximillion Cooper 41.

According to the New York Post, the pair are planning a lavish June wedding at the Blue Marlin megaclub in Ibiza, Spain.

The couple got engaged on Christmas Day last year after over three years of dating, and Eve broke the news after posting a picture on Instagram of herself with her family, with a diamond ring clearly visible on her left hand.

It will be Eve's first marriage , while Cooper, whose company Gumball 3000 is an annual 3,000-mile British car rally and lifestyle brand has four kids from a previous marriage.

WOLE SOYINKA: “NIGERIA IS IN WAR AND ONLY COMPETENCE CAN SOLVE THE PROBLEM, NOT PRAYERS”

Against the Minister of Power’s speech over the weekend that Nigeria was facing a spiritual war and urging those who could pray like him, to pray hard.
After Nyanya’s bomb blast yesterday, Professor Wole Soyinka while speaking at an event in Osogbo have said, what Nigeria needs are competent leaders and not prayers.
He said for example, the nation could get help from similar countries that have survived their security challenges and learn from them.
Also speaking against a paper that quoted him to have said, prayers can solve the nation’s problems, Soyinka said:
"I have never said prayers can help resolve the security challenges facing Nigeria. I believe the situation must be tackled without partisanship and all these uninformed comments cannot help the situation. We should wake up to the reality. Nigeria is in war and only competence can solve the problem, not prayers."

GOTZE REVEALS REUS WANTS MANCHESTER UNITED MOVE

David Moyes has been handed a major boost in his pursuit of £30million-rated Germany star Marco Reus.
Manchester United boss Moyes has been tracking the Borussia Dortmund midfielder all season and had him watched again last weekend.
Moyes will be handed up to £200million to spend on strengthening his squad this summer after a wretched first season in charge at Old Trafford.
Reus is one of his top targets and the 24-year-old’s former Dortmund team-mate Mario Gotze – now at Bayern Munich – said he fancied a move to United.
Gotze claimed Reus has been angling for a move to United for the past few years and remains keen on joining them, despite their fall from grace this season.
“When I was at Borussia, Marco wanted a move to Manchester United,” said Gotze. “This hasn’t changed.”
Reus, who has scored 19 goals in 35 appearances this season, is considered one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe and has also attracted interest from Real Madrid.
He shone once again in front of United scouts last weekend by scoring one and setting up another in Dortmund’s surprise 3-0 win over big rivals Bayern, who have already been crowned German champions.
United are prepared to make Reus one of their highest-paid players on around £200,000-a-week to lure him from the Bundesliga to the Premier League.

MAJEK FASHEK’S PROBLEM IS SPIRITUAL – FORMER BAND MEMBER

An ex-member of Majek Fashek’s band, Imona Osigwe has disclosed that the present travails of the reggae star was clearly spiritual.

In a recent chat with a Mr. Chux Ohai – a seasoned Journalist – Imona Osigwe, recalled with nostalgia the period he spent working with the legendary reggae musician.

‘He was a great leader,” he said.

Commenting on Majek Fashek’s present condition, Imona debunked reports that Majek’s problem was caused by drug addiction.

“Majek’s problem is spiritual. It was not caused by drug addiction. I have worked and lived with him. Apart from the fact that we worked together. He is my brother. So I am in the position to know where his problem came from. But we have decided to leave everything in God’s hands. We are praying for divine intervention in his case,” he said

Not much has been heard of the reggae artist, Majek Fashek, since news of his mental illness broke out last year.

Manchester United manager David Moyes, has expressed his satisfaction with the performance from his players, after they played out a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich at Old Trafford, in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.

Nemanja Vidic headed the home side in front, before Bastian Schweinteiger swept in a Mandzukic knock-down, leaving United with a chance in the second leg.

“The players played really well so we’re delighted but just a bit disappointed that we conceded in the end,” Moyes told ITV.

“There was a real determination to make sure we did well, the players realised we were playing a really good side tonight.

“We know we’ve got to score a goal in the second leg. We have to do something about it. But we know we’ve given ourselves a great opportunity.”

GUARDIOLA NOT COMFORTABLE WITH 1-1 DRAW AHEAD OF SECOND LEG

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has insisted that he is satisfied with his team’s performance against Manchester United.

Bastian Schweinteiger, who has later shown a red card, equalized for the German champions at Old Trafford, after Nemanja Vidic opened scoring for David Moyes’ men.

However, Guardiola admitted that he was looking to put the tie beyond the Premier League club’s reach in the first leg and even a 2-1 win would not have been good enough.

He said: “I am quite satisfied. Manchester United has one of the best teams in the world. We scored an away goal which is important, but we also got lucky that efforts from Danny Welbeck and Wayne Rooney did not go in. The goal we conceded was difficult to defend.

“It is always dangerous when you go into the second leg with a 1-1 draw, but even a 2-1 victory would have been dangerous. We will try to win the second leg and I am sure we can do it. I have full confidence in my players and hope the fans in Munich will push us like the United supporters did for their team today.”

D'BANJ THREATENS TO SUE UK DAILY MAIL FOR LABELING HIM A 'LEGENDARY WOMANISER'

Music superstar D'banj has threatened to sue UK tabloid, Daily Mail for describing him as a 'legendary womanizer' in an article they wrote a few weeks back about Kenya Moore and her fake African prince. 

Speaking exclusively with Encomium mag, D'banj rubbished the report, insisting Daily Mail goofed. He said he's discussing with his legal team with a view to suing Daily Mail for maligning him.

"The story has no substance. I am even about to sue UK Daily Mail for defamation of character. I am discussing with my legal team. They didn't hear from me. Everything they wrote is totally wrong. They defined Kokomaster wrongly. I think they wanted to talk about Kenya Moore, who was a former Miss America, but they didn't get their facts right. Everything they wrote was false. They are going to hear from my legal team soon" D'banj threatened.

He also talked about leaving Mo'Hits, his deal with Kanye West and confirms he's found love.

About leaving Mo'Hits, D'banj said

"No regrets because for me personally, life is dynamic. Change is the only constant thing in life. The only regret that I might have is that there would have been a better way for us to split. But it happened and it happened. And to God be the glory. It was as if God was about to separate me. Like five months after that, I got five juicy promotional deals and now the Glo endorsement".

About his Kanye West record deal

OBESERE COMMERCIALISES ‘RAPE SCANDAL’ WITH VCD RELEASE.

Abass Akande Obesere is not only going all out to prove the recent rape allegations levelled against him are entirely false, he’s also hoping to benefit promotionally and commercially from the scandal. 

The Nigerian Fuji Star has released a DVD detailing his innocence, claiming he wants to expose his accusers.

Titled ‘Rape Scandal’ (Koseleri), the VCD’s cover artwork features a photo the alleged rape victim Olanike Olaiya, an elderly lady Alhaja Bola Omo Owo (the woman believed to have linked Obesere and Nike up) and the Fuji singer himself. 

Kosleri translated into English means ‘it can never happen‘.

Obesere, reports say, made sure both women’s faces were featured on the cover so his numerous fans could believe his story. ‘I am sure everybody can recognize me, but I want people to also see the face of Alhaja Omo Owo so that they will all know she’s not a fake person’, Omo rapala is quoted as saying. 

Although the Ibadan native claims the VCD was not made for commercial purposes, a huge number of his fans have been demanding for a copy. And we’re told sales have already been made. we could not confirm if these were legitimate or illegitimate sales. 

Fuji music is a genre in Nigeria which probably has the highest number of core followers; every Obesere fan will find it absolutely compulsory to get a copy and that’s big bucks rolling in for the Fuji Star.

Actors, Odunlade Adekola, Fathia Balogun yesterday, March 30, 2014, beat their fellow actors to win the Best Actor and Actress awards of the Yoruba Movie Academy Awards (YMAA) held at the Civic Centre, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The duo alongside Ojopagogo, Kelvin Ikeduba, Niji Akanni and 11 others shone as they carted away the awards while the likes of Late Kola Ogunmola, Late Duro Ladipo, Prof Akinwunmi Isola, Adebayo Faleti and Lanre Hassan (Iya Awero) were all given honorary awards.

“MANCHESTER UNITED CAN BEAT US” – GUARDIOLA

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has stressed his side cannot underestimate Manchester United in Tuesday’s Champions League clash.
The English and German champions meet at Old Trafford for the first leg of their quarter-final tie in starkly different circumstances, with United languishing in seventh place in the Premier League while Bayern have romped to the Bundesliga title in record time.
But Guardiola is adamant that Moyes’ side are still strong enough to beat the Bavarian giants should they deliver their very best form.
“Manchester United are one of the world’s best teams,” the Spaniard told reporters in his press conference. “It doesn’t matter what situation they’re in right now.
“They have good players. These two games could be the best two performances of their season. They can beat us.
“They are one of the world’s most important clubs. They have great players, it’s an honour to be here.”
The 43-year-old insists he has sympathy for Moyes for the pressure he is under in his first season in charge of United.
“I could also be in his situation one day. Football is a fast-moving business these days,” he said.
Guardiola went on to stress that the Bundesliga remains the most important competition for Bayern – but admitted he would be “honoured” to beat United en route to defending the Champions League crown.
“The Champions League is not the most important title in the season,” he replied. “The local title is the most important. The Champions League is the most prestigious. We will try but we know how difficult it is.
“At a coach, it’s important to maintain the success. We won it last season and we look to progress. To do it against Manchester United is a real honour.”

KANYE WANTS MARY J. BLIGE TO SING AT HIS WEDDING TO KIM KARDASHIAN...

Kanye West and his soon to be wife Kim Kardashian will be tying the knot in France this spring, and the ‘Stronger’ rapper is hoping to convince R&B singer Mary J. Blige to perform her 1997 hit, ‘Everything’, to mark their special day. 

A source told HollywoodLife.com: ‘One of his favourite songs by her is ‘Everything‘. That song sums up, in every verse, his love for Kim. He wants that song to be sang at his wedding so he’s talking to Mary. Kim would drop dead if that happens. She too loves Mary and Kanye played that song for her when they first met over and over and over and over. (It’s) only fitting that he would have Mary officially sing it at the wedding.’ 

Kim, 33, and Kanye, 36, who have nine-month-old daughter North together, are reportedly licensing their wedding photos for sale and have agreed to broadcast their big day on her E! reality TV show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’, which means most guests will be asked to hand over their mobile phones and sign non-disclosure agreements before the ceremony. 

A source said: ‘Guests will have to go through extensive security, even most of Kim and Kanye’s celebrity friends. Mobile devices will be held at a secure location and if someone needs to use theirs during the wedding, accommodations will be made, but a long way away from the festivities. This is all designed to discourage guests from using their phones.’ 

Kanye and Kim recently graced the cover of Vogue magazine, a year after the rapper said Kim was worthy of being on said cover. If that is anything to go by, he just might get what he wants again!...

DBANJ ON KANYE WEST: ‘HE IS STILL MY MENTOR, HE IS STILL THE ONE I GO TO WHEN I NEED SOMETHING… ‘

‘Scapegoat’ crooner, D’banj has dispelled rumours that he is no longer with American record label, G.O.O.D Music. The rumours started last month when he deleted G.O.O.D Music from his Twitter biography fuelling reports he’s parted ways with the Kanye West-owned label. But D’banj insists he and the founder of the record label Kanye West are still business partners.
‘Me and Ye (Kanye) are cool; the last time we spoke we talked generally about my career and what his visions are. He is still my mentor, he is still the one I go to when I need something,’ D’banj revealed during a chat with British DJ and radio presenter Tim Westwood. The Koko Master also revealed that he and Kanye West are planning for the video of the remix of his hit single ‘Scape Goat’. ‘We are still working together. ‘Scape Goat’ is still in the working and we are still trying to work on the video. We just want to get everything right because we have done so much music together,’ he said.

WIZKID, TUFACE, MI, OTHERS TO AIR ON BBC LIVE LOUNGE SHOW

The British Broadcasting Corporation BBC has announced that for the first time ever, it will air a special edition of 1Xtra Live Lounge focused on Nigerian artistes.
The show (Live Lounge) is always filmed in London, for the first time, this edition is shot in Lagos, Nigeria.
The edition will feature top-of-the-food-chain artists; Wizkid, 2face Idibia, rappers M.I and Eva Alordiah.
During Live Lounge, an artist performs songs (mostly original, but sometimes covers of other artistes songs) with a live band and backing vocals in a studio setting. This edition is a collaboration between BBC 1Xtra and BBC’s African News and Current Affairs division, designed to improve the BBC’s African content.
Artists who have previously featured on BBC Radio and 1Xtra Live Lounge include Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Akon, Justin Timberlake, Tinie Tempah, Jessie J, Usher, Adele and many more.
