Retiring Nollywood's controversial Queen, Tonto Dikeh has revealed that the ending year, 2014, has been nothing but pure bliss for her.

The actress shared her love testimony via her instagram page appreciating God for blessing her with a wonderful lover and fat bank account. She also used same medium to apologize to those she had broken their hearts.

Her post read: "Diz year has been nothing but pure bliss... to me, Thank God I stayed Alive...Thank God for my bank account..

BREAKING NEWS: POLICE 'TAKE' ON D’BANJ

WHY KHABIRAT KAFIDIPE IS SCARED OF NIGERIAN MEN

Khabirat Kafidipe is popular as Araparegangan following her role in Tunde Kelani‘s classic movie, Saworoide which saw her acting alongside one of Nigeria’s most celebrated filmmakers today, Kunle Afolayan.

In a recent interview with Punch, the pretty actress has revealed she is scared of Nigerian men.

Khabirat, who has also featured in other movies by Tunde Kelani including Agogo Eewo, Arugba and Dazzling Mirage, said: ‘I have seen a lot of things happen around me to believe that men have little regard for women. I think the situation should be the reverse. Men should see women as special creatures to be loved and cared for. Women are very fragile and I don’t think they should be toyed with. I have seen many women get heart-broken by the same men they loved.’

Although Khabirat, whose career is believed to have stalled somehow, claims that she has never suffered heartbreak, she said many of her friends have not been so lucky.

‘I have seen my friends cry bitterly. It makes me sick to listen to them tell painful tales of betrayal and maltreatment in the hands of the men they trusted with their own lives. I talk to a lot of women, young or old, who have suffered similar fates at different times and I get scared each time I hear such stories. There is no woman, though, whose spouse or lover has not cheated at one time or another. But I think the major problem is that many men, especially Nigerian men, do not take the opposite sex and relationships as seriously as women do. That is why many men cheat on their partners at will and don’t give a damn about it.’

AGUERO IS THE BEST STRIKER IN THE WORLD, SAYS MANCHESTER CITY'S ZABALETA

The defender believes Argentina would have won the World Cup final had his compatriot been fully fit for the clash with Germany

Manchester City right-back Pablo Zabaleta believes Sergio Aguero is currently the best striker in the world.

The 26-year-old has scored 19 goals in 20 appearances this season, while his double on Wednesday inspired City's 4-1 win over Sunderland which keeps the Premier League champions six points behind Chelsea.

Zabaleta also feels that Argentina would have won the World Cup if Aguero had not been hampered by his hamstring injury during the tournament given his confident and clinical standards.

"I've known Sergio a long time and I think this is probably the best moment of his career," said Zabaleta.

"Everything he does, he makes it look so easy. He's sharp and clinical. He is also working really hard for the team off the ball. That's something you have to appreciate from Sergio.

"Normally strikers want to play with the ball, but he is working hard for the team and I think he's been great.

"Of course you think what might have been in the World Cup if he'd been fit. You want your top players to be there in their top form. When you have that, you have a lot of chances to win games.

"Unfortunately Sergio had struggled with injuries last season and it continued into the World Cup – but it would have been different with him 100 per cent fit.

"Probably he's the best striker in the world at the moment and we are very lucky to have him in our team. He's been great this season and hopefully he can continue like this."

I CRY OVER MY HEALTH ISSUES……..TONTO DIKEH

Nigerians celebrates with its entertainers without knowing what they go through privately. Though, it is their private life, sometimes there are some things that should not be hidden from the loving fans as every persons were not created to be loved by all.

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, is loved by few, adored by many, yet little is known about this lovely actress life apart from several unhealthy speculations which she has never seen as an issue.

Recently, the actress revealed that she has been having terrible back ache since she knew herself as a person which clearly means she grew up with the pains.

Tonto explained that the pain is always serious at times that she cries alone indoors and had to use a neck pad to support herself. No wonder she is rarely seen outside except for movie shoot and some few events.

“Been having this terrible back ache since I knew myself as a person. It gets really worse n sometimes it makes me cry,I have to use this neck Pad almost every day privately..

‘I WON’T QUIT DESPITE LOSING PRIMARIES’

Despite defeat, on Monday, at the All Progressive Party (APC) primaries in Ogun State, music mogul, Dayo Adeneye, aka D1, has pledged loyalty to the party and the Governor Ibikunle Amosu-led administration.

Although D1 had claimed, prior to the election, that Governor Amosun brought him into the race, his fans were shocked when the on-air-personality was defeated by another protégé of the governor and Special Assistant (SA) on Intergovernmental Affairs, Mr. Adebowale Ojuri.

Both men had vied for the ticket to represent Odogbolu Constituency, in the Ogun State House of Assembly.

Reacting to his loss, D1 stated that his loyalty subsists with the APC, and that the party’s objectives are his objectives.

Speaking to The Nation, he noted that if he is called upon to serve in another capacity, he would gladly heed.

“I said that I want to serve. I cannot dictate and determine the capacity in which I want to serve. In whatever capacity I am called to participate, the thing is to contribute and not just sit in your parlour and talk. That is what I am about. I’m about change, I’m about progress and I’m about equity. I remain a loyal party man. So whatever decisions my party makes, I have to abide by it,” he stated.

The music producer also expressed his desire for the APC to win all positions in Ogun State and at the Federal Government levels.

“I am in politics to make a change and in whatever capacity I feel I can make a difference, I will continue to pursue all objectives and all avenues to make sure that Nigeria changes. We cannot all continue to look at it the way it is. As at yesterday, the dollar was 187 to 1. Where are we going in this country? And if people like us sit back on radio and continue to complain, nothing will be done,” he said.

While admitting that he might not have solutions to all the problems in the country, D1 said there are clear indications of what he is capable of doing. “We have succeeded in the private sector. We have grown a music industry that was moribund and written off as dead. Everybody can see our footprints in music, entertainment business and all. So, imagine if given the opportunity to do the same in governance. Those are the things I am pursuing. I am in it to stay with it. I am not leaving politics. I am in politics and will continue to move forward and continue to contribute to my party, the APC and its objectives,” he said.

AMBODE WINS LAGOS APC TICKET IN GRAND STYLE AS MASS DEFECTION HIT PARTY

After several months of politicking and alleged favouritism from powerful forces in the party, former accountant general of Lagos finally emerged as the candidate of the All Progressive Congress. He beat 12 others in a seemingly one sided primary election to be declared winner.

Akinwunmi Ambode early Friday morning emerged as the candidate after an overwhelming victory. The other aspirants including the Speaker of the House of Assembly; Rt. Hon Adeyemi Ikuforiji, Commissioner for Works; Dr. Kadir Hamzat, former Attorney-General of the state; Supo Sasore (SAN), Ex-Commisioner for Health; Dr. Leke Pitan, Senator Ganiu Solomon, Tayo Ayinde, Dr. Tola Kasali, Tokunbo Wahab and others had earlier staged a walk out during the course of the primaries after indications it wasn't going to be favorable to them.

In the final result, Akinwunmi Ambode polled 3780 to win while Kadir Hamzat came second with a total of 1,201 votes.

It is further being rumoured that the party in the state might be faced with fresh political crisis as there are unconfirmed news of a mass defection from the party by the aggrieved aspirants and their supporters but observers say it is only "a storm in a tea cup" as the party leadership would soon sort things.

Speaking with reporters, a seasoned politician in Lagos who doesn't want his name mentioned disclosed that "this is not the first time our party would have this king of issue. You would remember that when our leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu selected the incumbent ahead of the 2007 election, this was how the others (more than 13 of them) also threatened to quit the party. Although some of them did but they returned begging so I don't think they would want to do the same mistake again."
However it was gathered that most of the aggrieved aspirants are really bent on taking drastic measures to express their dissatisfaction.

The party leader, Asiwaju Tinubu was however suspiciously absent from Thursday's election as well as the state Governor, Barr. Babatunde Raji Fashola.

The week-long film festival, AFRIFF (African International Film Festival) came to an end on November 14, 2014 with a special awards ceremony where, among other laurels, 10 students were selected from the workshop sessions for further training in an American university.

At the awards event, the new Kunle Afolayan-directed movie, October 1 was the stand out performer with 3 awards on the night.

The acclaimed October 1 won 3 awards in the Best Feature Film and Best Screenplay categories while the lead actor in the movie, Sadiq Daba emerged as the Best Actor at the classy event which held at the Tinapa Resort in Calabar, Cross River State.

BODIES OF 74 S.AFRICANS KILLED IN SYNAGOGUE FLOWN HOME

A cargo plane carrying the remains of 74 South Africans killed in a building collapse in Nigeria landed in Pretoria on Sunday, two months after the accident.

The remains of another nine South Africans among the 116 people killed on September 12 when a multi-storey guesthouse collapsed at a Lagos mega-church will be repatriated after the DNA identification process is complete.

The chartered Antonov plane laden with four mortuary vans landed at the Waterkloof air force base shortly before 10:00 am (0800 GMT) in an event carried live by public broadcaster SABC.

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa was to preside over the official ceremony to receive the bodies later in the day.

Nigeria released the bodies on Saturday after a high-level government delegation led by Jeff Radebe, a minister in the presidency, spent a week in Nigeria to fast-track the repatriation process.

Radebe had met President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja to discuss the speedy repatriation of the remains.

The head of the mega-church and one of Nigeria’s most popular preachers, TB Joshua, suggested that a low-flying aircraft reportedly seen over the building four times before it came down was to blame for the collapse, and said he had been targeted in a deliberate attack.

But expert witnesses at a coroner’s hearing ruled out aerial sabotage or an explosion.

The court was told that the guesthouse did not have planning permission.

Xavi Hernandez has insisted that his Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi, would have scored more goals if he played in the English Premier League.

Messi is on the verge of breaking Telmo Zarra’d record for the most La Liga goals and has won four consecutive Ballon d’Or prizes from 2009 to 2012.

A lot of critics have said that the 27-year-old would not have shone so much if he played in England, but Xavi disagrees.

“I think he’d be even better in the Premier League because it is not so defensive,” the 34-year-old told BBC Sport.

“When defending against Barcelona, they [English clubs] play on a 1 v 1 basis, defending with passion, a lot of energy. But Leo would find more spaces than in La Liga.”

RIHANNA THANKS TOM FORD FOR NIPPLE LETTER

Rihanna has thanked Tom Ford for writing a public letter in support of her outfit which left little to imagination.

The 26-year-old star took to Twitter to reveal she ‘hearts’ the 53-year-old designer after he penned a note about the Bajan beauty’s body parts when she stole the limelight at the CFDA Awards in New York City in June in a completely sheer Adam Selman fishnet dress which exposed her assets.

Posting a link to Tom’s letter, Rihanna wrote: ‘i.heart.Tom.Ford (sic)’

In the note, Tom admitted he had offered the ‘S&M’ hitmaker several of his own creations to wear on that summer evening, but was glad she turned him down because she looked like ‘one of the most beautiful women’ he’d ever seen at the event.

In a post on his website, he wrote: ‘I was at the CFDA awards as I was receiving a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ [which I prefer to think of as a ‘Mid Life Achievement Award’], and I have to say that Rihanna was for me, that night, one of the most beautiful women that I have ever beheld. I had designed several things for her specifically for that evening which she did not wear, but when I saw her it did not matter. I whispered into her ear that she was right not to have worn one of my dresses that night because she looked more beautiful than I have ever seen her look. She was stunning. (sic)’

As well as her custom-made gown, Rihanna also sported a pair of gloves and a headscarf hand-embellished with over 216,000 Swarovski crystals.

GOV FASHOLA DECLARES NOV. 7 PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR CIVIL SERVANTS TO GET THEIR VOTER'S CARD

Governor Fashola has declared Friday November 7, as holiday for all public servants in the state, so that they can collect their Permanent Voter Card (PVC) from INEC.

Distribution of the PVCs holds from Friday, 7 till Sunday, November 9. He also appealed for the private sector to close early so that members of staff can go and pick up their cards. The governor also urged eligible voters from age 18 and above, to register.
“You have to register as a voter to be eligible to vote. We must take it seriously to make sure our names are in the voters register. Go to the polling centre to collect your PVC. No business or job can be more important than to collect your PVC. Between November 7 and 9, those who want to collect the PVC, should go out and collect them”, he said.

Those who lost their temporary voter’s card or have not registered before, can do so when INEC conducts fresh registration between 12 and 17 November.

Nollywood actor, producer, director, social critique, Charles Novia, recently, has been receiving the bang from his consistent critiques of other Nigerian celebrities with the latest from Nollywood’s actress, Chika Ike’s manager, Serah Donald.

Charles who is never bothered by such abusive response or feedbacks, still kept his head high as he continues to look for lacunas that ignored by any of these celebs.

The recent released video of ‘ADAOBI’ by the Mavin crew, has been receiving massive airplay both within and outside the country and Charles Novia, has continued to monitor the artistic job put together by Don Jazzy in the delivery of the video.

According to the Nollywood producer, “I watched the ADAOBI video by the Mavin Ensemble and @DONJAZZY. Quite a huge improvement from Dorobucci video. Well executed. Thumbs up!

The video is earthy, African and the visuals match the pulsating beats. There was visible excitement in the faces of all the artists.
